Baja California, Mexico (sneak peek)

DSCN0983This weekend my husband and I took a spontaneous trip to Baja California, Mexico with his parents and some friends of theirs. We stayed in Puerto Nuevo and visited the Ruta del Vino (Wine Route) in El Valle De Guadalupe. Mexico is so beautiful and has so much to offer. It was a wonderful weekend, and I took a million photos. Here are a couple for now, but I will post about the trip in more detail as soon as I can! Take in the beauty that is Mexico.

DSCN0753Β My parents are both from Mexicali which is the capital of the state of Baja California. For me it was extra special to get to know other cities in the state that I have been visiting my whole life. We stayed at Puerto Nuevo Baja Hotel and Villas.

DSCN0861This is at El Cielo (the sky), the 1st Winery we visited. It was gorgeous, and there was even a wedding there that day.

DSCN0851Β Off to the next winery…

DSCN0899This photo is at the next winery we visited. This was a much smaller and more humble winery. The owner and wine maker himself gave us a little class and poured us several glasses each. I loved his knowledge and passion for wine. We brought some of his bottles back home with us.Β The name of his wine is Labios Rojos (red lips).

DSCN0883Ensenada fish tacos, Mexican beer and Mexican Coke. Ummm, Yes!!!!!

DSCN1096Freshly made churros from a street vendor in Puerto Nuevo. $2 a bag. These melted in your mouth and were gone way too soon!
